An ISO Class 3 DepartmentPPC 3 applies to all properties within the Manteno Fire Protection Service Area that are within 5 road miles from the closest recognized responding fire station; including the listed recognized Automatic Aid Fire Department Fire Stations. PPC 10 applies to all properties within Manteno Fire Protection Service Area that are beyond 5 road miles from the closest recognized responding fire station.

About the Manteno Community Fire Protection District

The Manteno Fire Protection District was established in 1948 protecting approximately 96 square miles. The Fire Protection District boundaries are from county road 6000 North as our south boudary, to county road 12000 North or "County Line" as our north boundary. From county road 8000 East or "Whitaker" to the east, and county road 7000 West or "Warner Bridge Road" to the west. The Fire Protection District provides fire and ambulance service to approximately 12000 residents. The Fire District has 2 stations; both staffed 24 hours a day. The Fire District employs a Fire Chief, 3 Battalion Chiefs, 3 Lieutenants, 1 Paid On Call Lieutenant, 15 Full Time Firefighter/Paramedics, and 8 Paid-On-Call Firefighters.

The patients’ care along with minimizing property loss from fire is always the first priority for this fire protection district. We are continuously training to provide the highest patient care, fire prevention and suppression for all that we may serve. This shows our commitment to the advancement of our members while continuing our history of providing quality service to our district.
